Atlantic recording artist Joyner Lucas has announced plans for a major North American tour co-headlined by Dizzy Wright. “The 508/Still Movin’ Tour” begins January 23rd at San Diego, CA’s House of Blues and then continues through late February (see attached itinerary). For complete details and ticket information, please see www.joynerlucas.com.

Lucas is currently drawing headlines for his provocative new video, “I’m Not Racist,” streaming now at his official YouTube channel. Hailed by CNN as “the brutal race conversation nobody wants to have,” the track and its companion visual have caused an online and media sensation around the world, with recent coverage including Complex, XXL, Revolt, Vulture, and the UK’s The Independent, among many others.

Acclaimed by XXL as “one of the fastest-rising names out of the New England area,” Joyner Lucas has made an exhilarating debut earlier this year with his premiere label project, “508-507-2209,” available now at all digital retailers and streaming services. The project was heralded by an extremely powerful video, “Just Like You.” The self-directed clip – which confronts the difficulties faced by children raised in a world without heroic role models – is streaming now at the Worcester, MA-based rapper’s official YouTube channel.

“508-507-2209” is further highlighted by the single/video, “Ultrasound,” praised by HotNewHipHop as “the latest showcase of Lucas’ dizzying verbal dexterity.” Produced by DECAP, “Ultrasound” is streaming now at YouTube as well as streaming services nationwide.

“508-507-2209” also earned national applause, with XXL declaring it “a showcase of the sort of technical mastery that made Joyner into one of rap’s most exciting up-and-comers.” “Lucas crafted an album where his trials and tribulations stand in for our own,” raved DJBOOTH, “his victories even more so…(Lucas’) music maintains its satisfying nucleus of incisive storytelling mixed with street edge, but all the details are more vivid and pristine. The production artfully matches the tone and themes of his lyrics, and Lucas raps with the confidence of an artist that can finally focus on their art and nothing else.”

Joyner Lucas first captured national attention with the complex verbal gymnastics of 2014’s “Backwords
,” followed in 2015 by his debut mixtape, “ALONG CAME JOYNER” and its extraordinary breakthrough single, “Ross Capicchioni.” The track – and its provocative companion visual – chronicles the true story of a Detroit gang shooting, told from the perspectives of both the teenage victim and the shooter himself. “Ross Capicchioni” drew widespread acclaim in throughout the hip-hop universe, with the legendary Busta Rhymes declaring himself so “amazed…I can’t even put it into words.” The epic video proved a viral sensation, with over 3.7 million streams at YouTube alone.

Lucas continued to make his bones with a memorable spot on the 2015 BET Hip-Hop Awards Cypher, collaborations alongside such like-minded artists as Jarren Benton, Locksmith, TechN9ne, and Logic, as well as a pair of remarkably strong singles, “Happy Birthday” and “I’m Sorry,” both of which saw him displaying astonishing lyrical skills and a striking social consciousness. “I’m Sorry” – included on “508-507-2209” – has proven Lucas’ biggest viral success thus far, now approaching 17.5 million individual views at YouTube alone.
